Every Shelf a Street
This illustration reimagines a bookshelf as a metaphorical house, a place where stories reside and people turn inward for refuge. Each shelf becomes a room in a miniature home, rich with personal detail: the quiet ritual of brewing tea, the soft glow of reading by lamplight, a ship model resting high above, and childhood toys that seem to whisper memories.

I like to portray the scene as a still life in motion, a reader ascending a staircase made of fiction, another seated beneath the hush of imagined wind chimes.
